Martin Luther King's Speech
This document is a speech by Martin Luther King. He gave this speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. In 1963.
He spoke about the « Negro Slaves », discrimination, segregation and freedom.
He talked about the Emancipation Proclamation, WHICH was the end / abolition of slavery in 1863.
He said that one hundred years later black people were not free and he wanted equality.

On peut relier le verbe introducteur et ce qui est cité avec « that ». A l'oral, ce n'est pas obligatoire

« I HAVE A DREAM »
Martin Luther King said (that) he had a dream.
He said / claimed he had a dream that his four children would not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.
He said he had a dream that white children and black children would join hands AS brothers and sisters.
Malcolm X was MORE aggressive THAN Martin Luther King. He was angriER.
Martin Luther King was MORE optimistic THAN Malcolm X. He was wisER THAN Malcolm X.
