When the shark attacked...

This document is the start / the beginning of the film « Jaws ».

When the shark attacked the girl:

# the girl WAS SWIMMING in the sea / the ocean.

# The boy WAS SLEEPING on the beach.

# A man WAS PLAYING the guitare and another man WAS PLAYING harmonica.

# Some people WERE SMOKING around the fire.

# A man WAS EATING crab.

# A couple WAS KISSING = Two people WERE KISSING

VOCABULARY

# a shark: un requin

# kill: tuer # a killer: un tueur

# swim (→ swam): nager

# when: quand # where: où

# some / a lot of: quelque / beaucoup de

# sleep (→ slept): dormir

# eat (→ ate): manger

→ Pour raconter une histoire au passé, on utilise le Prétérit: Soit on ajoute ED au verbe, soit il est irrégulier. Ex: The shark killed the girl.

→ Pour parler de ce qui ETAIT EN TRAIN DE SE PASSER à un moment du passé:

(BE au passé) + VerbeING

Ex: The girl was swimming when the shark attacked.
