Mr Enfield: the witness
The scene took place at night in Soho. Mr Enfield was walking and suddenly he saw a man run into a little girl. This man trampled her!
He escaped but Enfield caught him.
He took the man to the girl and her family. They were furious!
Enfield and the family threatened / blackmailed Hyde so he gave a cheque for £100.
But the cheque was signed by Dr Jekyll.
So Mr Enfield couldn't believe the cheque was genuine because Hyde gave this cheque!
