SACAGAWEA
Sacagawea was a young Indian woman from a Shoshone tribe.
She was a guide for the Lewis and Clark expedition across / through America.
She was married to a French businessman, Charboneau.
She spoke different Indian languages.
She was a symbol of peace because she was a woman, she had a baby and she was Indian.
Today there are statues of Sacagawea in the USA because she helped Lewis and Clark and she is a symbol of cooperation between Indians and Americans.
There is a dollar coin with her face...
