INTERVIEW YOUR TEACHER (about his recent past)

         Today we spoke to Mr Tetard.

Ms El Rhrib asked what Mr Tetard did last weekend. Mr Tetard answered that he went to the cinema. He saw « The Social Network ».

         Mr De Flo asked if Mr Tetard ran and he said « yes, I ran 10kms ».

         Ms Badri asked if Mr Tetard went to New York, he replied « yes, I went to NYC 2 years ago ».

         Mr Bouceffar asked what Mr Tetard saw in New York. He said that he saw the Statue of Liberty and he ran in Central Park.

→ On utilise le Discours Indirect pour rapporter les propos de quelqu'un.

→ Pour cela on a besoin de verbes introducteurs tels que:

# Say (dire)  # ask (demander)

# answer / reply (répondre)           # claim (affirmer)

Ex: She said that she liked France.

Pour relier le verbe introducteur à la proposition, on utilise la Conjonction de Sub° « that ».

A l'oral, celle-ci est optionnelle

Ex: He said (that) he was tired.
