GILLIAN AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Gillian spoke about the environment.
She DIDN'T USE TO care about the environment.
She DIDN'T USE TO recycle.
She USED TO take her car to go everywhere.
She USED TO take long baths.
She USED TO leave the lights on all the time.
One day she decided to change her life and care about the environment.
Now she takes showers INSTEAD OF baths.
She takes the train and the bus INSTEAD OF the car.
RAPPEL/ Pour parler d'une habitude passée qui n'est plus d'actualité, on utilise
USED TO + VERBE
Ex: I used to smoke. Not now.
→ Pour parler de qqc qui n'était pas une habitude mais qui en est une maintenant:
DIDN'T USE TO + Verbe
Ex: I didn't use to recycle. Now I do!
