Conversation at the doctor's office
This document is a conversation between a doctor and a patient.
The doctor asks questions to the patient:
Ex: Do you smoke?
Ex: How often do you take vitamins?
Ex: How often do you drink coffee?
The patient is ALWAYS tired.
He ALWAYS smokes = He smokes ALL THE TIME
He NEVER exercises because he is lazy.
He OFTEN drinks coffee.
He NEVER takes vitamins!
Ms Belouar thinks the doctor MUST give medicine to the patient.
Ms Bouhraoua thinks he MUST stop smoking.
→ Pour demander à quelqu'un avec quelle régularité / quelle fréquence il fait une activité, on utilise: HOW OFTEN DO YOU...
Ex: How often do you play football?
→ Pour dire avec quelle régularité on fait une activité on peut utiliser:
NEVER < SOMETIMES < OFTEN < USUALLY < ALWAYS
(jamais<parfois<souvent<d'habitude<toujours)
→ On peut aussi utiliser:
# once: 1x # twice: 2x # three times:3x
# four times: 4x
Ex: I play football TWICE a week
Ex: I go to the cinema three times a month.
