BIG BEN

Big Ben is the name of the big bell in the clock tower of the Westminster Parliament, in London.

It was built in 1859.

Big Ben has got four faces and it weighs the same as an elephant (13 tons!)

There was a prison for Mps (Members of Parliament) who misbehaved in the tower.

There are three hundred and thirty-four stairs in the tower.

There are a lot of lightbulbs to illuminate the four faces.
