Before Hiroshima
The United States dropped an atomic bomb in Hiroshima on August 9th 1945.
In 1941 the Japanese HAD ATTACKED the USA in Pearl Harbor.
In 1942 Oppenheimer HAD BECOME the director of the Manhattan Project to make an atomic bomb.
In April 1945, President Roosevelt HAD DIED and Harry Truman HAD SUCCEEDED him / HAD BECOME President.
Before Hiroshima the USA HAD ASKED the Japanese to surrender.
